Batumi International Airport named after Alexander Kartveli was opened on the Independence Day of Georgia, May 26, with the investments of "Tav Airports Holding". Batumi Airport is located on the right bank of Chorokhi. The airport serves international flights to Istanbul, Kharkiv, Simferopol, Tehran, Kiev, Yerevan.Also local flights to Tbilisi. In 2021, a new terminal was added to this airport, through which it can serve more than a million people.
